MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday demolished 43 structures that were obstructing the widening of Bandu Gore Marg outside Goregaon (West) railway station.Bandu Gore Marg, located in the heavily congested area outside Goregaon West railway station, is proposed to be widened to ease traffic movement. The road, which was previously around 30 feet wide, and it proposed to be widened to 44 feet following the rehabilitation and removal of 43 non-residential structures.The widening is expected to provide relief to commuters travelling between Goregaon West railway station and Swami Vivekanand Road by improving traffic flow and reducing congestion.
