Ahmedabad: AMC on Saturday sealed the controversial Manpasand Gymkhana building in Dariapur for alleged unauthorised use of the premises. According to AMC officials, the building was sanctioned in 1962 with permission for commercial use on the ground floor, residential use on the first and second floors, and partial approval for the third floor. However, unauthorised construction was later carried out on the third floor.AMC had demolished the illegal portion of the third floor on March 20, 2025. Despite the action, the premises continued to be used for purposes other than those approved under the original building plan, officials said.The premises recently came under scrutiny after police raided Manpasand Gymkhana and busted a gambling operation there.
