Pune: A 22-year-old youth died after a dumper ran over him on Manjari-Mahadevnagar Road on Saturday around 9am.The Manjari police identified the deceased as Amit Awatade, a resident of Gopalpatti in Manjari.Police said the accident occurred when Awatade was riding his two-wheeler towards Manjari. The dumper was travelling in the same direction.“The dumper brushed against Awatade’s two-wheeler, causing him to lose control and fall. He came under the dumper’s wheels and died on the spot,” an officer from Manjari police said.In another accident, 23-year-old Radhekrishna Yadav of Phursungi died after the motorcycle on which he was riding pillion with a friend was hit by a cement mixer truck. The accident occurred on Friday night when Yadav and his friend, Tapan Mahatu (25) were travelling towards Phursungi.“Mahatu suffered injuries in the accident,” an officer from Phursungi police said.
