Arjun Rampal registered his marriage with girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades in Goa on Friday. The actor completed the formalities at the Sub-Registrar’s office in Mapusa, North Goa, in the presence of close friends.

Arjun Rampal and Gabriella Demetriades’ marriage was registered under Goa state’s Uniform Civil Code, Sub-Registrar Suraj Vernekar told PTI. Demetriades, a South African national, currently lives with Rampal in Succoro village near Panaji. Dressed in casual attire, the couple arrived at the registrar’s office around 4 pm. They had obtained special permission from the Assistant Public Prosecutor of the local court to condone the 15-day period required between the first and second signatures, as mandated by local law, Vernekar said. The marriage certificate will be handed over to the couple after 15 days.

Before the wedding registration, Arjun Rampal had confirmed his engagement to Demetriades during a conversation on Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast. The moment appeared in the podcast trailer, captioned, “Congratulations to the coolest couple in town @gabriellademetriades @rampal72.”In the clip, Demetriades spoke about love, saying, “Love comes with conditions. If the person behaves in a certain way, they get my approval or love. But when you have a child, you can’t do that, right?” She added, “It’s not like I am going after him because he is really hot, or I hope he didn’t say that about me.”Rampal responded, “I, after her because she was hot. Then I realised there’s a little more to it than just the hotness.” Later, Demetriades said, “We are not married now, but who knows?” to which Rampal added, “We are engaged,” prompting a surprised reaction from Chakraborty.
