Gandhinagar: Health minister Praful Pansheriya will inaugurate CIDSCON 2026 in Gandhinagar on Thursday. The conference will bring together leading experts on infectious diseases, an official statement said. The minister will also unveil a book on AMR (antimicrobial resistance) and AMS (antimicrobial stewardship). Over 950 delegates will attend the conference. AI is among the emerging themes of the conference with a dedicated workshop to examine the current AI landscape and its applications.BRICS Youth Summit begins in GandhinagarGandhinagar: Union minister of state for youth affairs Raksha Khadse and Gujarat deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi attended the inaugural function of the BRICS Youth Summit at Gandhinagar on Wednesday. An official statement said a ‘Friends of My Bharat’ portal was also launched at the event. Youth representatives from 11 countries will also visit the Statue of Unity at Ektanagar.
