Navi Mumbai International Airport added 13 new freighter services expected to commence soon

Mumbai: Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) on Sunday received its first dedicated international freighter service, with Hong Kong Air Cargo operating a flight from Hong Kong. The airport added 13 new freighter services expected to commence soon.Hong Kong Air Cargo will operate three weekly services between Hong Kong and Navi Mumbai, with the Airbus A330-200F freighter carrying around 60 tonnes of import and export shipments, said the airport.NMIA had earlier launched its first international passenger service to Abu Dhabi on July 15, followed by an IndiGo Cargo freighter service to Sharjah on August 1 carrying 20 tonnes of goods. The airport said cargo operators have received approvals or filed plans for services to destinations including Chengdu, Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, Frankfurt, Dubai, Amsterdam, Paris and Riyadh.
