Vasai: A moving freight train on the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor split into two near Madhuban City in Vasai East on Friday morning, triggering a brief disruption before railway engineers restored operations. No injuries or damage were reported.According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 10.30am. The freight train was travelling from Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to the Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPA) in Navi Mumbai when it suddenly separated into two sections.Railway officials said a technical team rushed to the spot and carried out an inspection. The detached wagons were safely recoupled, and the train resumed its journey within 30 to 45 minutes.
