Kolkata: A 65-year-old woman was allegedly confined to her house and threatened in Sarat Pally, Garia, by a group of armed men said to be linked to Trinamool. According to a complaint filed by her son, Snehayan Sarkar, a local woman named Banasree Das led around a dozen unidentified men into Sarkar’s house when he was absent on Saturday, and threatened his mother.The complaint says the group surrounded the house, threatened the woman, and warned her that the family would face serious trouble when the state govt changes later. The woman locked herself inside a room and called her son. When Sarkar went to Bansdroni Police Station with his mother to file a complaint, they were allegedly threatened and abused on the police station premises by Das and her daughter Monali. Cops have started a probe.
