60.86% clear Class XII general stream supplementary exam

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) on Friday declared the results of the Class XII supplementary examination for the general stream, with 60.86% of students clearing the exam.The supplementary examination was conducted for students who were unable to clear the Feb-March 2026 Class XII board examinations. According to the board, 40,233 students registered for the exam, of whom 33,944 appeared. A total of 20,658 students passed, making them eligible to receive the HSC certificate.Girls outperformed boys in the examination, recording a pass percentage of 66.41% compared to 58.22% among boys.Among different streams, the general stream recorded a pass percentage of 60.83%, while the vocational stream and higher secondary basic stream performed better, with pass percentages of 65.63% and 67.86%, respectively.Category-wise, regular students fared better than repeater candidates. Regular students registered a pass percentage of 62.01%, while repeater candidates recorded 45.75%. Among Gujarat State Open School (GSOS) candidates, regular students achieved a pass percentage of 62.3%, compared to 53.39% among repeater GSOS candidates.Under the board’s “Best of Two” scheme, 236 students reappeared for the examination to improve their scores. Of these, 146 students improved their results, while the marks of 90 students remained unchanged.Students appearing in the Sanskrit medium recorded an impressive pass percentage of 92.31%, with 12 of the 13 candidates clearing the examination.The board also said that 52 differently abled students benefited from the 20% relaxation in the passing criteria. In the ITI English (013) subject, 12,528 students registered, 12,106 appeared, and 9,628 secured the minimum qualifying score of 33 marks or more.
